INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY CELEBRATED AT BVM SEC-39
"Yoga: A Path to Healthy Living and Inner Harmony"
BVM Sec-39, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana , celebrated the 12th International Yoga Day with great enthusiasm and spirit .This year’s celebration embraced the 2026 theme announced by the Ministry of AYUSH — "Yoga for Healthy Ageing"*
Under this theme , students and their parents participated in Yoga Sangam 2026 activity by registering on Yoga Sangam Portal reflecting the theme Jan Bhagidari .The theme highlights yoga’s vital role in promoting physical health, mental well-being and quality of life, supporting the vision of living longer, active and independent lives.
A special YOGA SESSION was organized in the school for the whole staff to spread the message of Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi Ji to keep India fit. The programme began with warm-up exercises, followed by various sitting and standing asanas.
Mr. Sanjeev Kumar and Mr. Jaidev led the session and emphasized the importance of incorporating Yoga into daily life. They demonstrated key asanas beneficial for joint mobility, flexibility and mental resilience, explaining how regular practice prevents lifestyle disorders.
Principal, Ms. Upasna Modgil encouraged everyone to adopt Yoga as a daily practice. She remarked, _“Yoga is not just exercise, it is a lifestyle. It empowers us to age with strength, grace and peace. Let us make it a habit for ourselves and inspire society.”
