Rhythm, Culture & Expression: BVM Sec-39 Celebrates World Dance Day with Inter-House Competition « 30/Apr/2026
BVM, Sector-39, Ludhiana celebrated World Dance Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. Students enjoyed the foot-tapping music and showcased exquisite dance forms from across the globe.
To mark the occasion, an Inter-House Dance Competition was organised where students presented their talent through various international and Indian dance forms.
The competition began with the tiny tots of Classes I & II performing Punjabi Folk Dance, in which Jiya bagged the first position. In the Classes III–V category, Anshika Pandey of V-C and Aradhya of V-B from Lokmanya House emerged as winners with their professional-level performance in Western Dance. Trisha and Khushi of VII-B mesmerised everyone with their graceful Semi-Classical Dance, securing the winning position for Bhagat Singh House in the Classes VI–VIII category. Staying rooted in tradition, dancers from Classes IX–XII expressed their vigour through Classical Dance forms. A Poster Making activity on different dance forms was also held, creating a vibrant gallery that immersed everyone in the world of dance.
Principal Ms. Upasna Modgil applauded the efforts of the students and motivated them to actively participate in co-curricular activities along with academics to excel and grow. She added, “Dance is an art form that helps express the emotions of life and relaxes the mind, body, and soul. Such platforms build confidence and keep our cultural heritage alive.”
