“BHARTIYA VIDYA MANDIR, SECTOR-39 ADDED ANOTHER PEARL IN THE DIGNIFIED SERIES IN THE FORM OF  "VANDE MATARAM @150 YEARS SAMARANOUTSAV: A MELODY THAT BECAME A MOVEMENT”
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Sector 39, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana, under the guidance and direction of the Honourable Prime Minister, celebrated “Vande Mataram @150 years  Samaranoutsav”, as a part of series of Azadi  Ka Amrit Mahotsav, with a spirit of patriotism and dedication to the nation. To mark this historic milestone, the school organized a grand Inter-School Event  titled “National Song Vande Mataram - 150 Years of Commemoration" on 2nd May, 2026. The event aimed to instill National pride, Cultural awareness, and Creative expression among students through a series of thoughtfully curated competitions. Under the guidance and the directions of our esteemed members of BVM Trust - Sh. Manoj Gupta Ji (President B.V.M Trust), Sh.P.C. Goyal Ji ( Secretary B.V.M Trust) , Sh.D.D. Sharma Ji ( Manager of B.V.M SEC -39)* and the Principal, Ms. Upasna Modgil, a total of 72 students of 12 different schools participated in this great event. 

The program began with the lamp lighting ceremony to Goddess Saraswati by the school Principal and the worthy judges Dr. Saurabh Sharma Ji and Mr. Pardeep Kumar Ji. A welcome song was presented to welcome all the respected members of the school management, teachers and participants of different schools.  A patriotic dance  performance and a documentary showcasing the colorful activities of the school students enthralled all. 

The event had Three Major Competitions:
 QUESTOPEDIA : A quiz competition that tested  knowledge about the history and  significance of Vande Mataram, India’s freedom struggle and cultural heritage. With their outstanding performance, the winners of the competition are as follows :

STAGE SPARK : A short drama presentation based on patriotism and creative storytelling moved the audience emotionally. Through excellent acting, dialogues and patriotic expression, the best actors of the competition are as follows :

SCRIPTOPETIA: A calligraphy and translation competition focused on the first stanza of Vande Mataram in multiple languages where students from various schools participated enthusiastically and  showcased their talent, knowledge and their creative writings to express   their love for the nation. The competition celebrated unity in diversity and the indomitable spirit of India. The best performers of this competition are as follows :

All winners were honored with certificates and a trophy by the esteemed members of B.V.M Trust along with the Principal and Vice Principal.

Goyal Ji (Secretary B.V.M Trust) gave a vote of thanks to all the guests and said that "Vande Mataram is not merely a song; it is the heartbeat of our nation, echoing the sacrifices, dreams and unity of our people. As we celebrate 150 years of this timeless composition, we aim to inspire young minds to connect with their roots, appreciate our rich heritage, and carry forward the values of patriotism and harmony.
