To equip students with life skills and emotional resilience, BVM Sec-39 organised an interactive session on ‘Dealing with Peer Pressure’ for the students of Class VI. The session was conducted by school Psychologist, Dr. Navpreet Bhathal.
Dr. Batthal engaged the young learners through relatable examples, role-play, and open discussion. She explained the concept of peer pressure, its positive and negative forms, and how it influences decision-making during adolescence. Students were guided on strategies to say _‘No’_ confidently, choose the right friends, and build self-esteem.
The session also addressed common situations students face and emphasised the importance of communication with parents and teachers. A Q&A round saw enthusiastic participation where students shared their concerns and received expert advice.
Principal Ms. Upasna Modgil thanked Dr. Navpreet Batthal for her valuable insights. She stated, “Empowering students to handle peer pressure is essential for their mental well-being and character building. Such sessions help them grow into confident individuals.”
