BVM SEC-39 STUDENTS PLEDGE TO PROTECT MOTHER EARTH ON WORLD EARTH DAY « 22/Apr/2026
With a strong resolve to nurture and protect the planet, BVM Sec-39 celebrated World Earth Day with a series of meaningful activities under the theme ‘Our Earth, Our Responsibility’.
The tiny environmentalists of Classes I & II led by example through a sapling plantation drive in the school campus. Holding handmade placards, they also took out an awareness rally, raising slogans like ‘Green Earth, Clean Earth’ to spread the message of conservation.
Students of Classes III to V showcased their creativity through Poster Making, Handmade Earth Day Crown Making, and Badge Making activities. The corridors echoed with young voices reciting heartfelt poems on Mother Earth, expressing love and concern for the planet.
To highlight critical environmental issues, students of Classes VI to VIII participated in a Declamation Competition on the topic ' Save Earth, Save Water’_. Their powerful words and facts left a lasting impact on the audience.
Adding innovation to the cause, students created impressive Best Out of Waste models on the theme World Earth Day , turning discarded material into beautiful and useful creations that promoted the idea of recycling.
A thought-provoking speech by teacher Ms. Reena Maggo sensitised students about climate change, water conservation, and sustainable living. This was followed by an inspiring student speech by Trisha of Class VII, who urged peers to adopt eco-friendly habits.
Principal Ms. Upasna Modgilin her message applauded the students for their enthusiasm and awareness . She stated, " Earth does not belong to us, we belong to the Earth. Every small step taken today will ensure a greener tomorrow. Let us all be guardians of our planet.”
The celebration concluded with all students and staff taking a pledge to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle_ and protect Mother Earth.
