*BVM SEC-39 CELEBRATES WORLD HERITAGE DAY; LOKMANYA HOUSE BAGS TOP HONOURS* « 18/Apr/2026

To instil pride in our rich legacy and promote the importance of preserving cultural treasures, *BVM Sec-39* celebrated *World Heritage Day* with great zeal under the theme ‘Heritage: Our Legacy, Our Responsibility’.

The programme began with a thought-provoking *teacher talk* by *Faculty of Primary Wing*, who sensitised students about *UNESCO World Heritage Sites* *of India* and the need to protect monuments, traditions, and intangible heritage. The talk emphasised the idea of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’_ — the world is one family.

An engaging *documentary* showcasing India’s iconic heritage sites, from the Taj Mahal to the ancient caves of Ajanta-Ellora, was screened to broaden students’ awareness.

The literary spirit came alive through a *declamation competition* where students voiced powerful views on ‘Why Preserving Heritage Matters Today’. Creative expression flowed in the *Poster Making Competition* on the theme ‘My Heritage, My Pride’ , with vibrant artworks adorning the display boards.

In the much-awaited *Inter-House Quiz Contest* on World Heritage Sites and *Slogan Writing Competition*, *Lokmanya House emerged as the winner*, displaying exceptional knowledge and creativity. The winning slogan, *‘A Nation Without Heritage Is Like A Tree Without Root’_, penned by Valina(5th) Lokmanya House* , won special appreciation.

*Principal Ms. Upasna Modgil* *commended all houses for their enthusiastic participation and congratulated Lokmanya House for their commendable victory. She stated, "A people without the knowledge of their past is like a tree without roots. These activities help students connect with their cultural identity.”*
