*Honouring the Hands That Feed the Nation: National Farmers’ Day Celebrated at BVM*
*BVM Senior Secondary School, Sector-39, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana, observed National Farmers’ Day *with deep respect and enthusiasm, acknowledging the invaluable contribution of farmers to the nation’s prosperity and food security. The programme aimed to *instil gratitude for agriculture* and strengthen students’ connection with India’s rural roots.
Students participated wholeheartedly in meaningful activities designed to promote awareness and responsibility. A sapling plantation drive was organised on the school campus, symbolising sustainability, growth, and the nurturing spirit of farmers. Through slogan-writing activities, students creatively expressed admiration for the perseverance, dedication, and resilience of the farming community.
The highlight of the celebration was a thought-provoking speech delivered by a student, paying heartfelt tribute to *Chaudhary Charan Singh*, fondly remembered as the Champion of Farmers. The speech highlighted his visionary leadership and lifelong efforts toward agrarian reforms and farmers’ welfare.
Addressing the gathering, *Principal Ms. Upasana Modgil *encouraged students to respect farmers and protect agricultural values. She emphasised that honouring farmers nurtures gratitude, responsibility, and environmental consciousness. The programme concluded with renewed respect and pride for India’s farming heritage.
