Bvmites Paid Tribute To THE MASTER OF NUMBERS - SRINIVASA RAMANUJAN On NATIONAL MATHEMATICS DAY
To mark the birth anniversary of the legend Mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan , a raft of fun-filled mathematical activities and competitions * was organised for classes *I to IX by the Maths Club of BVM SEC-39 .For enabling the munchkins of classes I and II to compare the weight of different objects using a measurement tool , Weighing Scale Activity was conducted . In classes III to V Concept of Fraction was taught through a Craft Activity in which they became able to identify the difference between numerator and a denominator in a creative way.Students of VI to VIII participated in Inter Section Rangoli Making Competition. By using mathematical concepts like symmetry, tessellations and geometrical transformations VIC,VIIC and VIIIC got first positions. In Maths Battle Sudoku Competition organised for class IX , Prabhnoor Singh (IXC) showcased his mental skills and grabbed the first position.
Principal,Upasna Modgil lauded the creativity of the students and said that Maths is an excellent tool for self-reflection . Understanding mathematics not only makes you smarter, but also improves your brain health.So, let's pledge to embrace mathematics without fear and anxiety
