BVMites celebrated the incredible power of girls on National Girl Child Day
To increase the awareness among people about all the inequalities faced by the girl child in the society, the National Girl Child Day was observed on 24 January, 2022 with great avidity. Various activities were designed to increase the awareness about the necessity of the girl's right and providing her new opportunities in the Indian society. The elegant girls of class IX and X were dressed up as an inspiring Indian girl personalities such as Rani Lakshmi Bai, Kalpana Chawla, Mary Kom, etc. to manifest that girls can too led India on the path to social, economic and technological development. Students also put forward their perspective that the girls are the epitome of strength, love, sacrifice and courage through Collage making, poster making and slogan writings. The celebration continued with the small gestures evinced by the mothers cherishing their different roles in life. It was a great experience for the students as they contributed their bit in spreading the awareness on the girl child protection.
Principal Upasna Modgil orate that to save a girl is to save generations and a change in mind set is need of the hour; only then our girls will feel safe & empowered. Moreover, parents must empower girls through education & ensure that there is no gender discrimination.
