21 days of performing Surya Namaskar concluded
BVM Sector - 39 celebrated 75 Crore Surya Namaskar project on 75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav by organizing a 21 days virtual session of performing Surya Namaskar each day. Students (Pre-Nursery to XII) along with their parents joined the session with ample of zest and zeal. The teachers and the subordinate staff were also took part wholeheartedly. Mr. Sanjeev Kumar (HOD Physical Education) in association with Ms. Kirandeep and Mr. Sudarshan (DPED) demonstrated and illustrated the innumerable benefits of the asana. The mass Surya Namaskar demonstration also intends to carry the message that Surya Namaskar helps to develop immunity and improve vitality, which is significant to health during pandemic conditions.
Principal Upasna Modgil expressed her indebtedness to the parents for overwhelming response to make the session a memorable event with huge success. She further added that fitness should be at the heart of one's life and yoga is a form of fitness that elevates one spiritually as well so the practice of Surya Namaskar will be continued in morning assembly.
