BVMites spread the message of - CLEANLINESS, FORGIVENESS, NON-VIOLENCE AND SHRAMDAAN « 04/Oct/2019
In commemoration of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi Ji, a week-long celebrations had planned, wherein students were given a deep insight into the life of Gandhi Ji. Celebrations culminated today with a vow to combat against the prevailing evils in the society. Throughout the week, a lot of enthusiasm and excitement were witnessed among students as they actively indulged in a myriad of activities. Celebrations commenced with dedicated assembly highlighting the universal ideologies of peace, non-violence and forgiveness of the great legend followed by devotional songs, evoked the memories of Father of the Nation. A 'Padyatra' was taken out to create awareness among masses about the sanitation, hygiene and awaken people about hazardous effects of plastic. Students carried placards and raised slogans. The main attraction of the day was small act by students wherein they depicted Mahatma Gandhi Ji's visual metaphor of three monkeys - exhorting 'SEE NO EVIL', 'HEAR NO EVIL' and 'SPEAK NO EVIL'. Iconic Charkha and Logo Making Activity promoting the dignity of labour and self-reliance was most enjoyed by students. An amazing Animated Documentary motivated the students to tread on the path of pragmatic ideals of Gandhi Ji. A skit opening the windows of past of exemplary leader left everyone spellbound.
Principal, Upasna Modgil, in her address, encouraged the students to cherish and follow the noble ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and to keep our surroundings clean to stay healthy.
