Lord Krishna is emblematic of love, wisdom and intellect. To celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna, the pious festival -JANAMASTHMI, a cultural program was organized in BVM , Chd Rd, Ldh. The bright and joyful faces of the students lit the festive aura with their performances. A FANCY DRESS COMPETITION was held where the girls were decked up as Radha and boys as Shri Krishna. Darish & Diya were adjudged the winners. Students chanted melodious BHAJANS in praise of Lord Krishna refreshed and revitalized the environ, where in Mridun bagged First position. An INTER HOUSE SOLO DANCE COMPETITION was also organized where in Lokmanya Tilak House emerged as winner. The scintillating dance performance represented his ‘Diverse Leelas’ depicted the importance of occasion. Plethora of activities were organized and students enthusiastically adorned Matkis and Flutes, sketched astounding portraits of Lord Krishna exhibiting their devotion and faith. Parul, Jaskirat and Aditya got first position respectively. Beautifully decorated display boards presented an exact replica of Mathura and Vrindavan. Breaking of Dahi Handi by the boys of XI commerce added more charm to the festive programme. The entire ambience of the school turned devotional and everyone’s spirit got soaked in love for the ‘Bal Gopal’ while rocking the adorned cradle. The school premises resonated with the chants of ‘Hare Krishna’.
In her address, Principal, Upasna Modgil, spoke about the teachings of lord Krishna and said that these celebrations are a medium of connecting the students with the sumptuous Indian cultural values.
