73rd Independence Day was celebrated in BVM, Chandigarh Road with ardent devotion and patriotism. The celebration of this auspicious day was commenced with Deep Prajwalan and Saraswati Vandna by the Pre-primary co-ordinator Mrs. Reena Maggo and Principal followed by flag hoisting ceremony .All in unison sang the melodious strains of the National Anthem. The onset of the programme began with Oath ceremony. Patriotic Group song of teachers filled everyone with reverence and pride for the Motherland. Ms. Sandhya Arora and Ms. Rajwinder Kaur expressed their views on the auspicious day and reminded the sacrifices of Indian freedom fighters who faced several tortures, hardships and exploitations to earn national freedom with their undying spirit and bravery. Vice Principal, Harpreet Singh proposed the vote of gratitude. Principal, Upasna Modgil exhorted the audience to be patriotic in deeds by becoming disciplined, unselfish and broad-minded in their approach.
