Saluting the stupendous performance of 19 year old, Indian Sprinter, HIMA DAS, who scripted history by winning 5 CONSECUTIVE GOLD MEDALS at the IAAF WORLD UNDER-20 ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS, BVM, Chandigarh Road organized a myriad of activities. A documentary of the golden girl of India from the rice fields near Assam’s Dhing town to the world stage in a little time greatly inspired the students. Tirthesh and Jiya, students of class X, unveiled the glorious journey of the trail blazer through speech. Thereafter, bubbling with enthusiasm, students of V class whole heartedly participated in 50 meter relay race in which ‘Ankita’ grabbed 1st position vand the whole campus echoed with the slogan ‘BETI KHELAO, PADAK PAO’.
Principal, Upasna Modgil, applauded the astounding achievements of Hima Das and exhorted the students to be diligent and determined to leave no stone unturned to fulfill the missions.
