Mahavir Jayanti celebrated with religious fervor and gaiety
Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (Chandigarh Road) commemorated the birth anniversary of the great sage, Lord Mahavir, who taught the world the essence of ‘Unity of Life’, with much fanfare. A special assembly was organised. Vrinda, student of class VII, in her speech narrated the incidents from his life & told how his teachings influenced people to cultivate positive attitude in life. An enlightening documentary unshuttering the life of Lord Mahavir was shown. Students exhibited their caliber in Slogan Writing highlighting the teachings of Lord Mahavir & vowed to eliminate prevailing evils in the society.
Principal, Upasna Modgil, in her address, stressed on the need to emerge as responsible citizens & to rise above the superstitions & evils prevalent in the society & to follow the path shown by the Lord Mahavir for a meaningful life.
