​*Educating Minds, Enlightening Futures: BVM ,39 sec Observes World Energy Conservation Day* « 13/Dec/2025



*BVM 39 Sec, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana observed World Energy Conservation Day* with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of responsibility to sensitise students towards the *importance of sustainable energy practices and environmental conservation. *The day was marked by a series of thoughtfully planned, age-appropriate activities aimed at nurturing eco-friendly habits and environmental awareness among students.

The programme commenced with an *interactive teacher-led session for Classes I–II, *where educators explained the working of a solar system through smart boards, making the concept of renewable energy engaging and easy to comprehend for young learners. Students of *Classes III–V showcased their creativity in a paper craft activity, designing LED bulbs *using paper to symbolise energy-efficient choices and mindful consumption.

For *Classes VI–VIII,* activities such as poster making, sapling plantation, and essay writing provided students a platform to express their understanding of energy conservation through colours, words, and action. The campus resonated with messages of responsibility, sustainability, and green living.

A motivating address by *Ms.Dolly , (PGT Science)*highlighted the scientific significance of conserving energy and encouraged students to adopt simple daily practices such as switching off unused appliances and utilising natural resources wisely.

Addressing the gathering, *Principal Ms. Upasana Modgil *remarked, “Energy conservation is not merely a topic to be taught but a habit to be cultivated. When children learn to save energy today, they grow into responsible citizens of tomorrow.”

The celebration reaffirmed the school’s commitment to environmental stewardship and served as a powerful reminder that conserving energy today ensures a brighter, greener future.
