To make students aware about the chronic disease - Cancer, WORLD CANCER DAY was observed. Students were apprised that World Cancer Day is an international day to raise awareness of cancer, its prevention, detection and treatment. For this various activities like Teacher talk, Flash cards, Poster making, Slogan writing and speeches were organised for the students of classes I - VIII which included maintaining a healthy lifestyle, avoiding exposure to know cancer causing substances and taking medicines or vaccines that can prevent cancer from developing.
Principal Upasna Modgil remarked that the primary goal of the day is to significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer.She further added that cancer prevention is an action to lower the risk of getting cancer.
