To develop financial knowledge, life skills and confidence for managing one's money, a workshop for teachers was organized on Financial Literacy and Use of Digital Tools. The session was ably conducted by Mr. Nagesh Kumar, a trainer from CBSE. The aim of the workshop was to educate the audience about different ways of investment and it's benefits. The speaker highlighted the importance of savings and investment planning. He asserted that investment should be planned in such a way which gives the financial security and simultaneously helps to achieve one's personal goal. He explained the various tools of investment like bank fixed deposits, Post office schemes, real estate, insurance, PPF, gold, shares and stocks, mutual funds, etc. and how these work with their pros and cons. He also shed light on life insurance and health insurance.
Principal Upasna Modgil paid her gratitude to the resource person and emphasised that financial planning is the key to a secure future. As soon as a child is born, one must open a bank account so that one can start saving from an early age. It is crucial to inculcate the habit of saving and teaching the value of money to our children.
