A day of action against hunger' World Food Day' was observed at BVM SEC-39
In an effort to end hunger and to inculcate healthy eating habits, BVM Chd. Rd. celebrated the World Food Day. A series of flavorful activities were designed with great avidity. Expert Nutrition Rupali Mahajan( Medical dietician and wellness coach) worked as an Ex Intern CMC, Ldh and also as an Ex Lecturer Nutrition, DAV College, Batala gave an inspiration lecture to spread awareness on food security, healthy food habits and encouraged the students not to waste food in order to achieve the goal of Zero hunger in our country.
Students from classes I - XII brought healthy and nutritious food arousing the festive mood for the Festive Food Thali presentation. Little ones brought fully decorated vegetable Thaali with different food items with attractive designs and patterns in their own creative manner. One of the foremost move of the day was that each student brought Extra Tiffin for distribution to needy person and also took pledge 'Don't waste food and save or serve food to needy people'
Addressing the students, Principal Upasna Modgil gave a vote of thanks to the Expert Nutrition and she further added that we must promise ourselves to never waste food, as an initiative and contribution to save food for those who are hungry. Let's make a difference with a small action.
