TEEJ FESTIVAL

 

Spirit of Teej wafted across B.V.M. Sen. Sec. School, Chandigarh Road, Ludhiana. Teej is the festival that celebrates the beauty of nature, rain and greenery with rituals & customs like Giddha, Bhangra, Boliyan. Students celebrated the spirit of festival with great fanfare and enthusiasm. Students of primary classes came to school in vibrant traditional colorful dresses, splashing the social campus with rainbow hues.
 

• The students of III and IV classes introduced their rich art in 'rainy-scene painting' and 'pakhi-making and decoration’ activities.

• Inter-House Solo Folk-Dance competition was organized among the students of V to VIII classes in which 1^st position bagged by Tanish of Lok Manya Tilak House,  Sehaj of Bhagat Singh House stood 2^nd, 3^rd position bagged by Prakriti of Lok Manya Tilak House.

• Fancy Dress competition was held for the students of I and II classes and the winners were Shivangi (1^st), Anshpreet (2^nd) and Bhumika (3^rd).

          Students relished sweet home-made dishes sitting together in Community lunch. It was a delightful and a memorable day full of fun and frolic. Principal, Upasna Modgil, awarded the winners and encapsulated that we should feel proud to be Punjabis and leave no stone unturned in keeping the Punjabi heritage alive.
