BVM Chandigarh Road celebrated the incredible power of girls on International Girl Child Day.
To celebrate the incredible power of girls BVM Chandigarh Road observed the International Girl Child Day with great fervour. A string of virtual activities were designed to recognise girls' rights and the unique challenges they face around the world everyday. The charming and gorgeous girls of class I and II were dressed up like their role models and envisioned us that the girls are the epitome of strength, love, sacrifice and courage through poster making, slogan writing and poem recitation. The celebration continued with the small gestures manifested by the mothers of only girl child cherishing the bond with their daughters, expressing their love and affection. Ms Harpreet Kaur (PRT) in her speech gave an insight into the various schemes like Beti Bachao Beti padhao implemented by the Indian government so that all girls should have access to quality education and a dignified life. Principal, Upasna Modgil eulogised the efforts of the students and said that inspite of facing gender disparities, girls are now marching side by side with men in every walk of life they have proved that the girls are the blessings not the burden.
