Remembering these great and inspiring words of Lala Ji , BVMites celebrated the birth anniversary of Lala Lajpat Rai ji who is popularly known as ' Punjab Kesari' and the ' Lion of Punjab' with great patriotic fervor. Ms.Ankita, (PGT, Political Science) in her speech said that Lala Lajpat Rai ji is one of India's most celebrated freedom fighters. He was a great leader, historian, eminent editor, social and religious reformer, and powerful orator.She also threw light on the life and teachings of this great leader and how his teachings can still aid in addressing present problems of people as well.On this occasion, students of classes VI to VIII exhibited their creativity by preparing slogans, posters and scenes of 'Lathi charge' in the memory of the great leader who sacrificed his life for the independence of the country. Principal, Upasna Modgil , paid tribute to one of the key leaders of the freedom struggle and addressed all that the sacrifice of Lala Ji will continue to inspire Indians especially youth as he was a man of exemplary courage and great values.
