Gita Jayanti was celebrated with devotion and dedication
Advent of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita (Gita Jayanti)was celebrated in B.V.M. Sen. Sec. School, Sec.39, Chd. Rd. with great religious devotion and gaiety. String of online activities were held to fill the students with significance of the holy scripture. Students of classes I and II were dressed up as Lord Krishna and astounded everyone with insightful messages of Lord Krishna. Mr.Sunil ,(Sanskrit teacher) apprised everyone with the importance of this auspicious occasion ,he said that the observance of Gita Jayanti is a constant reminder to all mankind, regardless of creed or race, of the need to intensify one’s efforts at performing actions that will lead to freedom from bondage. Students of classes III to V threw light upon the various facets of the Holy Book by participating in Poster Making activity followed by melodious chanting of Shalok Gayan by students of classes VI to VIII. The Bhagavad Gita has had a perennial influence on humankind for generations and it was well portrayed in the one act play on Gita Updesh by the students of IX to XII. In her message,Principal Upasna Modgil said that reading Bhagavad Gita can inspire children and help them to cultivate good values such as to shun materialism and vices.
