World Consumer Rights Day
"Consumers have the right to Information, right to choose, right to safety ."
World Consumer Rights Day is observed by BVMites with an aim to disseminate awareness regarding Consumer rights and needs. Mr. Lovenish Gulati,an external advocate, highlighted that it is an occasion observed on a global level to protect the rights of consumers and to ensure that the consumers are not subjected to market abuse or social injustice that may undermine their rights. Ritika Makkar , student of XII(Commerce) made an attempt to make consumer vigil of his/ her rights and avoid exploitation in the markets. Flash Card and Poster Making activities were also conducted online for the students of XI and XII Commerce to highlight the importance of the Consumer Movement and the need to make every consumer more aware of their rights and responsibilities. Group Act was beautifully performed by the students of XI Commerce with the objective to safeguard the interest for the consumer from the malpractices taken as one's own by the business community such as high prices, supplying low quality goods,creating an artificial shortage etc.
