The Cultural Event began with the special morning assembly where in students apprised of importance of the festival of Lohri. Students were dressed in traditional dresses and mesmerized the audience with their melodious folk songs. Participants of folk dance tapped their feet to Punjabi music and Boliyan of Lohri. The Spirit of students was high to match the mood of celebration. The holy fire was lit and the rituals of offering Prasad to the fire was performed by the Principal and the staff members.
Principal, Upasna Modgil, greeted everyone on Lohri and also appreciated the students for their brilliant performance. She emphasized that negativities like jealousy, anger, lethargy should also be burnt out while we pay our obeisance in the bonfire.
