A rich tribute paid to the legendary hockey player, Padma Bhushan, Major Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary by celebrating the National Sports Day in its premises. ‘BVM MARATHON 2019’ flagged off from the school campus in which students of XI dressed in white t-shirts participated, exhibiting their zeal & vigilance towards good health. Akash Kalia and Deepali bagged First position by reaching the starting point taking 8.32 minutes and 10.01 minutes respectively. AN INTER-HOUSE QUIZ CONTEST and FANCY DRESS COMPETITION were organized. It was heartening to see the students of PRIMARY WING attired in their favorite sportsmen. Akshara donned up as Sanya Nehwal, Kunal as Dhyan Chand Ji & Seerat as Manika Batra were adjudged the best dressed up players. On the special occasion, Sr. Makhan Singh (Sahnewal Zone Sports Incharge) and Sr. Dalwinder Singh Minhas, were special guests who clapped for the Marathon, motivated and guided the students. Medals and certificates were conferred to the winners. Swami Vivekananda House exhibited their relentless enthusiasm in quiz and clinched FIRST POSITION.
Principal, Upasna Modgil, urged the students to toil hard on the ground and equip themselves with versatile talents to take on the challenges of life.
