WORKSHOP ON CONSTRUCTIVISM-BASED LESSON PLANNING ORGANISED AT BVM SEC-39
A workshop on Constructivism-Based Lesson Planning was successfully organised at BVM Sec-39 for teachers, with the aim of promoting innovative and learner-centred teaching practices. The session was conducted by Dr. Sonia Sharma, a distinguished academician, researcher, and former school administrator with over 18 years of experience in the field of education.
Dr. Sonia Sharma highlighted the fundamental principles of constructivism, emphasising that learning is an active process in which students construct knowledge through their own experiences. She explained how teachers can create meaningful learning opportunities that encourage students to explore, question, and develop a deeper understanding of concepts.
During the workshop, teachers were guided on preparing effective lesson plans that foster critical thinking, collaboration, and active participation. Various strategies, including activity-based learning, group discussions, questioning techniques, and connecting lessons with real-life situations, were discussed. The interactive session encouraged teachers to reflect on their classroom practices and share their experiences.
Principal Ms. Upasna Modgil expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the resource person for sharing her valuable insights and expertise. She encouraged teachers to implement the strategies discussed during the workshop to enhance student engagement, strengthen teaching practices, and improve learning outcomes.
